Paranoid Fan is a Dallas-based internet startup that is building a social communication utility for sports fans. Our focus is to build an application to help sports fans meet more friends (that share the same interests) and also discover new experiences. We will use the interest graph and geolocation as the core components of our technology. What's the problem we are trying to fix? And how do we fix it? Facebook is constructed as a tool for users to stay connected with existing friends. Rarely are there any new friendships that extend beyond that 1st degree. In fact, Facebook frowns upon engaging people you “don’t already know.” The social market needs a utility that allows users to make more friends and discover new experiences. We solve this problem.
